The role

We have big plans for Tomorrow. Our vision: Establish sustainable finance at the heart of society. That's a hell of a lot of work - so let's get started.

As a Finance working student / intern, you will assist our Finance team with a wide range of projects and financial planning (including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow), financial reporting and fundraising. Your responsibilities will also include drawing up financial models and ad-hoc analysis such as investment appraisals and cost analyses. As well as helping to prepare Advisory Board meetings and support for company-wide projects. As a liaison between Finance and Controlling, you will have the opportunity to work together with different teams such as Banking, Growth and Management. As you can see, there are plenty of interesting challenges in store for you.

What we're looking for

  • You are currently completing advanced studies in business or economics, specializing in finance, controlling, or a similar quantitative discipline. 

  • As an intern or student trainee, you will already have had some initial experience working in corporate finance or controlling, ideally in a consulting, auditing or FinTech environment. 

  • You are confident working with Microsoft Excel and have an in-depth understanding of it. 

  • You enjoy visualizing content in an engaging way using Google Slides or Microsoft PowerPoint.

  • You are an enthusiastic team player who loves getting actively involved and taking responsibility for your own work.

  • As a working student, you have the time to play a supporting role in the Finance team for a minimum of 16 hours/week and at least for one year. The other option is to support us for at least 6 months as part of a mandatory internship.

  • For organizational reasons, it is important that you are enrolled at a German university and live in Germany.

  • You can communicate confidently in German and English.

  • You support the idea to create a better future for everyone by using money as a force for good.

Salary

14,50 euro / hour for working students

1000 euro / month for interns

Working from home and mobile work are therefore integral parts of our remote-friendly work culture. At the same time, we believe in the huge advantages of meeting up and working together in person. Our fantastic office in Hamburg is the perfect space for this and available to you any time. 

We would like our future finance working student / intern to spend one day “on-site” every two weeks. We will be happy to discuss all other framework conditions with you as part of the interview process. 

For organizational reasons, we are only looking for people who live in Germany for this position

Worum es geht

Wir haben mit Tomorrow Großes vor! Unsere Vision: Nachhaltige Finanzen raus aus der Nische holen und in die Mitte der Gesellschaft bringen. Das ist verdammt viel Arbeit – also packen wir es an.


Als Finance Werkstudent*in / Praktikant*in unterstützt du unser Finance Team bei vielfältigen Projekten wie dem monatlichen Financial Reporting, der Finanzplanung (inklusive GuV, Bilanz und Cash Flow) und Finanzierungsthemen. Zu deinen Aufgaben gehören auch die Erstellung von Finanzmodellen und Ad-hoc Analysen, wie beispielsweise Business Cases für neue Produktfeatures und Kostenanalysen. Außerdem hilfst du bei der Vorbereitung von Advisory Board Meetings und bist Teil unternehmensübergreifender Projekte. Als Schnittstelle zwischen Finance und Controlling hast du somit die Chance, mit verschiedenen Teams, wie beispielsweise Banking, Growth und dem Management, zusammenzuarbeiten. Du merkst schon, es warten viele spannende Aufgaben auf dich.

Was Du mitbringen solltest

  • Du befindest dich im fortgeschrittenen Studium der Wirtschaftswissenschaften (BWL, VWL, Wirtschaftsmathematik, Wirtschaftsinformatik o.ä.), idealerweise mit einem Schwerpunkt in Finance, Controlling oder einer quantitativen Studienrichtung. 

  • Du hast als Praktikant*in oder Werkstudent*in bereits erste Praxiserfahrung im Bereich Finance oder Controlling sammeln können, idealerweise im Beratungsumfeld, in der Wirtschaftsprüfung oder in einem anderen FinTech.

  • Du hast ein ausgeprägtes Verständnis und eine hohe Affinität für Excel. 

  • Du hast Freude daran, Inhalte optisch ansprechend in Form von Präsentationen mit Google Slides oder Microsoft PowerPoint darzustellen.

  • Du bist ein*e enthusiastische*r Teamplayer*in, die*der Spaß hat, sich aktiv einzubringen und Verantwortung für eigene Aufgaben zu übernehmen.

  • Als Werkstudent*in hast du für das nächste Jahr mindestens 16 Stunden/Woche und als Praktikant*in mindestens 6 Monate im Rahmen eines Pflichtpraktikums Zeit, dem Finance Team unterstützend zur Seite zu stehen. 

  • Du bist an einer deutschen Hochschule immatrikuliert und ebenfalls wohnhaft in Deutschland, das ist aus organisatorischen Gründen wichtig.

  • Du kommunizierst sicher auf Deutsch und Englisch.

  • Du stehst hinter der Idee, Geld als Hebel für positiven Wandel zu nutzen und brennst darauf, mit uns zusammen ein besseres Morgen für alle zu gestalten.

Vergütung

Unser tolles Office in Hamburg bietet dafür Raum und steht dir jederzeit als Arbeitsort zur Verfügung. Unser Büro ist barrierearm, hat einen ebenerdigen Zugang und bietet flexible Möglichkeiten, den Arbeitsplatz zu gestalten. Von unserer*m zukünftigen Finance Werkstudent*in / Praktikant*in wünschen wir uns alle zwei Wochen einen Tag “on-site”. Alle weiteren Rahmenbedingungen hierfür besprechen wir gerne im Rahmen des Kennenlernens gemeinsam mit dir.
