As Team Lead Data & BI (f/m/x), you will take ownership of our experienced data team, consisting of a data engineer, a data analyst, and a data scientist. Together, you will set the necessary guardrails to enable data-driven decision-making throughout the entire company. Your role will be twofold: supporting your team in achieving their goals while actively contributing as an analyst or data engineer when needed. From strategic architecture decisions to managing budgets and handling ad-hoc requests, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data landscape.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Ownership of strategy, task prioritization, budget, and resources for the data team.
  • Driving innovation by introducing new ideas and challenging existing ways of working.
  • Leading a team of three, including regular reviews, development talks, and serving as the general point of contact.
  • Hands-on support, including ad-hoc requests, analytics for the growth unit, and occasional contributions to data engineering.
What we're looking for
  • You already have experience in various data-related roles.
  • You are familiar with different data tech stacks and enjoy constantly improving data platforms - while still being hands-on yourself acting in an analyst and/or engineer role.
  • You bring leadership experience to the table and thrive on guiding teams toward success.
  • You are skilled in SQL and Python.
  • You have a good understanding of BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • You have experience in data modeling in relational databases.
  • You have a solid grasp of cloud technologies (AWS or similar) and ETL processes.
  • Ideally, you already have initial experience in implementing AI-driven applications within a company.
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • You support the idea to create a better future for everyone by using money as a force for good.

Salary
85.000-95.000 EUR annual gross + one-time 50.000 EUR in virtual shares

Working from home and mobile work are therefore integral parts of our remote-friendly work culture. At the same time, we believe in the huge advantages of meeting up and working together in person. Our fantastic office in Hamburg is the perfect space for this and available to you any time. Our office is wheelchair-accessible, has ground-level access and offers flexible options for designing your workspace. We expect our future Team Lead Data & BI (f/m/x) to spend a minimum of 1-3 days per month working on-site in our office. We will be happy to discuss all other details with you when we meet you (virtually) in person. One more thing: for organizational reasons, this position requires your place of residence to be in Germany.

Als Team Lead Data & BI (w/m/d) übernimmst du die Verantwortung für unser erfahrenes Data-Team, bestehend aus einem Data Engineer, einer Data Analystin und einer Data Scientistin. Gemeinsam schafft ihr die Rahmenbedingungen, um datengetriebene Entscheidungen im gesamten Unternehmen zunehmend zu ermöglichen. Deine Rolle ist zweigeteilt: Du unterstützt dein Team in der Zielerreichung, gleichzeitig bringst du dich aktiv als Analyst*in oder Data Engineer*in ein. Von strategischen Architekturentscheidungen über Budgetmanagement bis hin zur Bearbeitung von ad-hoc Anfragen spielst du eine entscheidende Rolle in der Gestaltung unserer Datenlandschaft.

Zu deinen Aufgaben gehören:
  • Du übernimmst die Verantwortung für die Strategie, Priorisierung von Aufgaben, Budget und Ressourcen des Data-Teams.
  • Du treibst Innovationen voran, indem du neue Ideen einbringst und bestehende Arbeitsweisen hinterfragst.
  • Du führst ein Team aus drei Expert*innen – inklusive regelmäßiger Feedback- und Entwicklungsgespräche, sowie Sparring in der täglichen Arbeit.
  • Du unterstützt hands-on bei ad-hoc Anfragen, Analysen für das Growth-Team und gelegentlich bei Data-Engineering-Aufgaben.
Was Du mitbringen solltest
  • Du hast bereits Erfahrung in verschiedenen Positionen im Data & BI Kontext gesammelt.
  • Du kennst unterschiedliche Data-Tech-Stacks und hast Spaß daran, Datenplattformen kontinuierlich zu verbessern – und bist situativ selbst gerne noch hands-on als Analyst*in oder Engineer*in tätig.
  • Du bringst Führungserfahrung mit und hast Freude daran, dein Team zum Erfolg zu führen.
  • Du bist sicher im Umgang mit SQL und Python.
  • Du hast ein gutes Verständnis von BI-Tools (z. B. Tableau, Power BI oder ähnliche).
  • Du bist erfahren in Datenmodellierung in relationalen Datenbanken.
  • Du kennst dich mit Cloud-Technologien (AWS oder vergleichbar) und ETL-Prozessen aus.
  • Idealerweise hast du erste Erfahrungen mit der Implementierung von KI-gestützten Anwendungen in Unternehmen gesammelt.
  • Du hast sehr gute Englischkenntnisse.
  • Du stehst hinter der Idee, Geld als Hebel für positiven Wandel zu nutzen und brennst darauf, mit uns zusammen ein besseres Morgen für alle zu gestalten.

Vergütung
85.000 - 95.000 Euro Jahresbrutto + einmalig 50.000 Euro in Virtual Shares
